This is not a simple yes or no. Xeno itself, when downloaded from the official source, is a legitimate executor. But there is an active malware campaign using the Xeno name to infect Roblox players. Whether Xeno is safe depends entirely on where you downloaded it from.
The Real Threat: Fake Xeno Installers
Security researchers at Bitdefender, Microsoft, and ThreatLocker have documented an ongoing campaign where attackers distribute fake Xeno installers through Discord servers, gaming forums, and YouTube. These fake files are advertised as "undetected" versions to lure players looking for cheats [citation:1][citation:3][citation:4].
Once you run the fake xeno.exe, it installs a Java-based Remote Access Trojan (RAT) and information stealer. It can:
- Steal browser cookies and passwords from Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, and Vivaldi
- Hijack Discord and Roblox accounts, including saved payment methods
- Steal cryptocurrency wallets, with specific attacks on Exodus Wallet
- Log every keystroke, capture screenshots every 500ms, and access your webcam
- Give attackers full remote control to execute PowerShell commands and transfer files [citation:1][citation:11]
Microsoft's own Q&A forum has reports from users who downloaded Xeno from sites they believed were official, only to find malware on their systems. One user reported receiving blackmail PDFs after installing Xeno from a site they thought was legitimate [citation:6].
How to Stay Safe
- Only download from getxeno.space. This is the official source. Any other site, Discord link, or YouTube "mirror" is not official and should be treated as malicious.
- Never download from Discord DMs or random servers. The malware campaign specifically targets Discord communities [citation:1][citation:4].

What About Roblox Bans?

Bottom line: Xeno from getxeno.space is the only version you should trust. The malware reports all involve fake installers from unofficial sources. If you are not sure where your file came from, delete it and download a clean copy from the official page.
