Just downloaded Xeno? Don't run it yet. To ensure the best performance and prevent crashes, you need to configure a few basic things on your Windows PC first.
1. Create a Dedicated Folder
Don't leave the Xeno files in your Downloads folder. Create a new folder specifically for it (e.g., C:\Xeno) and extract all the ZIP contents there.
2. Add Defender Exclusion
Windows Defender often blocks script executors. To prevent your files from being deleted, add your Xeno folder to the exclusion list in Windows Security settings.
3. Install Dependencies
Make sure you have the latest Visual C++ Redistributable and .NET Desktop Runtime installed. (See our Installation Guide for links).
Final Step: Once everything is installed, restart your PC. Then, run xeno.exe as Administrator.
